Things to do in Cancun, Mexico

Cancun is one of the top destinations for spring break! I learnt this from watching 22 Jump Street and since then I have wanted to go and experience these crazy parties.

Isla Mujeres - Private Island

This private island could trick you to thinking you are in the Maldives. The clear blue sea, soft white sand and golf buggies that you can hire to take yourself round the little island. There are many shops, restaurants and excursions around, it is great for a day trip. We hired a catamaran to take us to the island which turned into a party boat, we also did a bit of snorkelling and looked at the underwater museum which was put in place in 2010.

Sacbe Beach Shack

This beach shack is very bohemian, with hammocks and swings to relax on whilst you have some drinks. It is a calm setting directly on the beach.

As it is described on their website it is inspired by ancient Mayan beliefs and modern Tulum vibes, SacBé is "the pathway to paradise". This beach shack is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the marvelous Caribbean sea in the comfort of a hammock or a lounge chair, enjoying live DJ music.

The Strip:Coco Bongo, Mandala Bay Beach Club

This is the club to go to it is quite expensive for a club however the ticket price includes all of your drinks and an incredible experience of watching shows and enjoying good music. There are many places to choose from such as Congos, Mandala Bay and many more.

La Isla Cancun Shopping Village

This open air shopping mall is fun with many restaurants around, it also includes the aquarium and a ferris wheel so you can overlook Cancun.

This was a good place to go for cocktails and snacks. Obviously brilliant if you are into sports.

Mr Papas, La Destileria, Hacienda Sisal

These restaurants had amazing Mexican food and entertainment with live singers and a mariachi band.

Sasi Thai

This was the very first time I had ever tried thai food and I tell you now it was incredible! I will defiantly be going back to this restaurant again. The ambience was calming, with great music, nice little waterfall and mood lighting.
