Things to do in New York
New York is my favourite city in the world! I am so lucky that I get to travel to this city multiple times in a year. So be aware that this blog post will be constantly updated with ideas of what to do in NYC.
NYC Helicopter Tour
The most incredible and beautiful way to see NYC is definitely via a helicopter tour. For those of you who are adrenaline junkies the no doors experience is for you! I went with a company called Heliflights and did the 30minute Manhattan Tour. For the best deals look on Groupon.
Rooftop bar
The skyline of Manhattan is a breathtaking view that you have to experience. If you are over 21, then a rooftop bar and a cosmopolitan in hand will give you the sex and the city vibes. As New York is the city that never sleeps every day of the week feels like a Saturday night, so you will not be disappointed!
Westlight Bar
For a different kind of view go over the bridge to Brooklyn to see the skyline of NYC!

Statue Of Liberty
The best way to see the statue of liberty up close without queuing for half a day is to catch the staten island ferry which is completely free. You get a close up view of the statue of liberty and the New York skyline.

9/11 Museum and Memorial
After the most devastating terrorist event in 2001, the area now represents peace, with the freedom tower standing tall and the Oculus designed in the shape of dove wings. There are messages of peace and love all around. I was only a young child when it happened, yet I remember it so clearly. It was nice that after 18 years I could finally pay my respects.
Brooklyn Bridge
The most famous bridge of New York.
If you are willing to walk to the end of the bridge you can get amazing views of the New York skyline. There are lots of mini stalls selling New York T-shirts and gifts all along the bridge. My favourite way to walk the Brooklyn Bridge is to come from the Brooklyn side and walk into Manhattan it definitely has the better viewpoint.
Dumbo Brooklyn
This is a fun quirky place, I have never really explored Brooklyn but Dumbo was a fun place to go with lots of food options. There is a Time Out Market which has a nice rooftop and many different cuisines to choose from. They have the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory which does the best sundaes. Plus you get the nice over the river views of Manhattan.
Fifth Avenue
The best and busiest shopping street in New York, full of the most expensive shops from Tiffany & Co to Cartier.
Breakfast at Tiffany's
My dream came true! I felt like Audrey Hepburn having tea and croissants. The Blue Box Cafe is only open until the end of 2019 as Tiffany & Co is being refurbished for two years.

This is a nice walkway through Manhattan. It was built on a historic, elevated rail line which has been turned into a garden which you can walk through to lead you up to Chelsea and admire the artwork throughout.
Chelsea Market
This is another great spot for lunch with many different cuisines to choose from. It is known as one of the greatest indoor food and market places in the world.
Little Island
Little Island opened up in 2021, it is a new public park on the Hudson River, this artificial island park is a nice place to meet friends, have drinks and watch entertainment.
West Village
This is my favourite neighbourhood I am obsessed with the townhouses and cobbled streets. There are many nice boutiques, cafes and restaurants.
A good restaurant I tried for breakfast is called Dante I went for the smoked salmon and egg bagel it was divine. You also have to check out Magnolia Bakery for the best cupcakes.
