Viva Las Vegas - 21st Birthday
Vegas is so vibrant and full of life. The city is famed for its nightlife with 24-hour casinos and entertainment.
I was lucky enough to go to Vegas for five days to celebrate my 21st Birthday!
This is what I got up to in that short time:
The Grand Canyon:
This was the highlight of my trip.
The Grand Canyon is absolutely beautiful, the view is breathtaking. I cannot believe the wonderful world we live in, just seeing this natural beauty made me feel so grateful.
We got a helicopter from Vegas to the Grand Canyon overseeing the hoover dam, lake mead and the desert. We landed right in the middle of the Grand Canyon and had a champagne breakfast as the sunrise.

Sightseeing around the hotels:
This boulevard is home to themed hotels which makes you feel like you are being transported around the world. Vegas includes replicas of an Egyptian pyramid, the Venetian Grand Canal, London Eye (High Roller) and the Eiffel Tower.
The hotel I stayed in was Caesars Palace, this was a great choice as it was in the middle of the strip. We were lucky enough to be upgraded because they knew it was my birthday, we got a lovely room with two comfortable king size beds, a jacuzzi bath and a strip view.
My top three hotels are the Wynn, Bellagio and Caesars Palace.
Freemont Street – Downtown Las Vegas:
Freemont Street is where all the locals go as it is a lot cheaper and less touristy than the strip. This includes all the old casinos such as the Golden Nugget and the Four Queens. There is even a zip wire that goes through the street. This is a very vibrant place as there are live bands, showgirls, clubs and casinos.
High Roller:
The High Roller is the highest Ferris wheel in the world, when you reach the top you are higher than the London Eye, Egyptian Pyramids and the Eiffel Tower. We went during sunset to watch the lights turn on down the strip and the Bellagio fountains.

Bellagio Fountains:
The Bellagio fountains were stunning, I couldn’t believe how big the water show was. The best location to watch the fountains was in Hyde Lounge at the Bellagio, you could relax, drink cocktails and have a front row view of the fountains on the balcony.
Hyde Lounge - The Bellagio:
This was the perfect location to enjoy cocktails and watch the Bellagio fountains dance at night.

Linq Promenade - Thanksgiving:
I defiantly chose the right time to go to America as it was thanksgiving weekend. Vegas welcomed 300K visitors that weekend, the strip was buzzing!
We went to Linq Promenade for Thanksgiving dinner in a nice traditional pub. After we went to the Bellagio conservatory and botanical gardens.

Shopping – Black Friday:
I picked the right week to be in Vegas as we got to go shopping on BLACK FRIDAY! The best shopping mall is the North Premium Outlet as it has more shops and bigger discounts. All of the hotels have luxury shops such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Cartier, Prada and Gucci. Another one of my favourite shopping malls was called the fashion show located north of the strip, this included Macys, Topshop, Zara and more high street stores.
Wynn Buffet:
Bottomless brunch is the best thing to do to start your day. The Wynn is absolutely fabulous with food cooked right in front of you. They have everything you could wish for and food from all over the world.
Nightlife:
The nightlife in Vegas is incredible, there are too many options that you have to pick where to go, whether it is a show or a nightclub. There are thousands of club promoters in Vegas that you can get free entry and drinks at some of the top clubs or you can pay the entry fee and they send a party limo to your hotel to take you to the premium club.
Here are a couple of places I went to at night:-
The Chandelier - The Cosmopolitan:
This was a beautiful place to have cocktails as you were inside a pink and purple sparkly chandelier.

Gambling:
There are casinos everywhere including the airport! I played on the slot machines and won on roulette with the lucky number 21!
The 24-hour casinos make you forget what time of day it is, we were drinking cocktails and gambling as soon as we had woken up. However, we did spend all of our winnings on more games.
1 OAK – The Mirage:
I went to see Matt Goss sing jazz with a live band. We were lucky enough to sit front row. Matt Goss sung to us and even bought us a drink. There were show girls, pole dancers, a live band and great music.

Michael Jackson ONE - Cirque du solei:
This was a show like no other, it was spectacular, like nothing I have ever seen before. There was so much energy! I am a Michael Jackson fan, it was fun to listen to his music and watch the circus acts, doing tricks, parkour, pole dancing, acrobatics and crazy stunts.
Vegas can only be explained as crazy, there are a million things to do that it is impossible to do everything in one trip! I will defiantly have to go back soon….
